The Pattern of Love

A couple of weeks ago a few professionals gathered to look at the theme of love and had some wonderful insights . The Pattern of Love, we called the meeting.

This is what we broadly agreed upon:

Everyone needs love; it gives value to a human being.

One who is at peace within himself and has received love is in a better position to give love.

Love is not a philosophical truth but something that is seen and felt when put into action.

It is sometimes hard to love, but to give true love is a conscious decision, whether we receive anything in return or not.

Expressing love does not require big things; simple steps can have a huge influence on people.

Do have a look at the following video. It shows how simple acts of kindness can be extremely contagious and bring about a change in society.

(It is an advertisement, you can skip that bit and see the message the video communicates)

We read this beautiful description of love in the Bible which summed up much of what we spoke.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

And finally, we decided that as individuals we would take simple steps that would play a small role in channeling love in the city. I trust you will do the same.

Our helping hands can be contagious.
